　　i’m very proud that i have chosen to speak to you all today, i’m a bitnervous as i’ve never made a speech before to so many people ,so please forgiveme if it shows.

　　as we all know,the environmemt around us is getting worse and worse .insome places we can’t see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. somepeople even have no clean water to drink. so i think we must do something toprotect the environment. .but what can we do? how to protect our environmemt?for example, we can go to school on foot or by bike . we can use shoppingbasskets not plastic bags .when we go shopping and we can use both sides of thepaper when we write .in a word ,if everyone pays more attention to ourenvironment ,there will be less pollution and our life will be better.

　　“there is only one earth”,i hope everyone will protect our environmentwell. thanks!

　　as you know,there's no enough clean water for people. so many of them losetheir lives because of water. in a lot of countries, people have to cut treesfor living. so there's nothing to keep water from running away. also we havepolluted the land, the river and the air. so we have to face more and morefloods and droughts .

　　it's time that we must do something useful to protect our environment. wecan plant trees and take good care of them. we can save the water and ask ourparents to do so. we can't throw any litter onto the ground and we shouldcollect them for recycling.

　　taking care of our environment is very important.wherever you live,you cando something around your neighbourhood.

　　have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?have you ever drawnpictures on public walls?have you everspat in a public place?have you ever cut down trees?if your answers are "no",itmeans that you have already helped protect our environment.

　　it is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. you might askyourself,"have i ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?have iever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?have i ever planted anytrees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"if your answers are"yes",it meansthat you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

　　we all know tagore.this famous indian poet once said, “l(fā)ife is given to us,and we earn it by giving it.” as the saying goes, nature is given to us, and weearn it by contributing to it. however, most people nowadays just want to askfor more from the nature. in fact, they do very little contribution to thenature. therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

　　do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energyto make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as muchwater as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures areamazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? ifpossible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will bemade into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more.sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak interms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people becomemuch clearer about the problem.

　　we, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protectthe environment. for example, our class set up a recycling center beside theback door, it is very useful. it is used to collect the waste paper and plasticbottles. in the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into thetrashcan. at the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not sowarm-welcomed. later, more and more people were influenced by the others andjoined this collecting activity. gradually, all the students in our class form agood habit to protect the environment. all of us will now put away the reusablethings instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

　　we should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment isour duty that we can never neglect. finally would you please let me end thisspeech with a little poem, “be kind to the river. be good to the trees. smile atthe sunshine, and bow to the breeze. be friendly to nature, and nature will befriendly to you!”

　　我在這個(gè)寒假讀完了《魯濱遜漂流記》這本書，我對(duì)這本書的感觸極大。

　　魯濱遜，出身于一個(gè)商人家庭。從小就不愿生活于一個(gè)狹小的地方，擁有強(qiáng)烈的冒險(xiǎn)精神。本書寫了主人公魯濱遜私自離家出海航行，在一次風(fēng)暴中被流落荒島28年，他始終沒有氣餒，并時(shí)刻保持頭腦冷靜，他利用船上剩下的東西，每天捕獵，還蓋了兩座房子，養(yǎng)了一群羊，他還有鸚鵡，狗，貓，創(chuàng)建了自己的家園，最后還結(jié)識(shí)了星期五和其他兩位朋友。

　　我很喜歡魯濱遜這個(gè)人物，他身上有很多值得我們學(xué)習(xí)的'品質(zhì)，他靠著理智且聰明的頭腦度過了一個(gè)又一個(gè)的難關(guān)。在近乎絕望之時(shí)，他表現(xiàn)得異常冷靜，理智，他把利和弊列了出來，然后給自己安慰，我覺得他面對(duì)困難的樂觀態(tài)度很值得我們學(xué)習(xí)。

　　其實(shí)，本書給我印象最深的地方還是前面的部分，魯濱遜沒和家人商量就私自出海。這足以證明魯濱遜的冒險(xiǎn)精神。我很欣賞魯濱遜的冒險(xiǎn)精神。人生總要有冒險(xiǎn)，我們偶爾也要享受冒險(xiǎn)帶來的刺激和快樂。但我并不贊同魯濱遜的這種做法。

　　在我很小的時(shí)候，我還沒有獨(dú)自出過門。有一次，趁爸媽不在家，我獨(dú)自拿零花錢出門，去一個(gè)離家很近的小賣部買糖�；貋砭涂匆婇T口有很多人，媽媽一臉焦急地等著。后來聽媽媽說，她回來沒看見我，便報(bào)了警。我想，魯濱遜的父母應(yīng)該也很擔(dān)心吧，畢竟就剩他這一個(gè)孩子了，很難想象，他父母的后半生是怎么過的。

　　魯濱遜靠著冷靜、理智的頭腦在島上生活了28年，能夠在荒島生活如此長(zhǎng)的時(shí)間，若沒有聰明的頭腦，沒有勤快的雙手，估計(jì)幾天也就OWER了。這部小說近乎完美，我覺得唯一的缺陷就在于他回家的時(shí)候，父母已經(jīng)去世。唉，要是魯濱遜回來后，他的父母還活著該多好！久別重逢會(huì)是一幅怎樣畫面呢？我真想改變一下故事的結(jié)局。
